Six people were killed in an early morning fire Sunday in Newark.  Two of the victims were children.

The fire broke out just before 4 a.m. on South 15th Street.  Authorities said the fire does not appear to be suspicious.

"We don't know exactly where it started at this point," said Deputy Fire Chief Richard Gail.  "There was a lot of fire, so that's going to take a little bit of working out to find out the actual point of origin."

Zion Forbes, 11, and Stephon Sydney, 15, both lost their life.  Salome Stewart, her husband Reginald Stewart, Salome's sister Natasha Kinsale and Noreen Johnson were also killed.

Salome and Reginald Stewart lived in the home along with Kinsale.  Johnson, Forbes and Sydney were visiting for Father's Day.

The fire spread to a second home.  Everyone in that building escaped safely.
