Sources say investigators believe the couple killed the woman's uncle in Suffern before they jumped. He may have been strangled in a dispute over money, the sources said.
Neighbors said the couple recently moved in with the victim into his home on Washington Avenue, a few doors down from the Suffern Police Department station.
The name of the presumed to be murdered man has not been released, but neighbors have told press outlets that he operated a food truck for a local catering business.
