A massive fire in Edison, New Jersey Saturday night destroyed the James Monroe Elementary School.  Tonight parents will meet to discuss what to do next.

There will be no school today or tomorrow for students impacted by the fire.  Later in the week, they will attend class together at Middlesex County College.  But it's still unclear what the long term solution will be.

The six alarm fire broke out at the school around 8 p.m. Saturday night.  The fire spread quickly and it took fire crews until Sunday morning to get it under control.

There were no serious injuries reported, although several firefighters were treated for smoke inhalation.

The fire has been labeled suspicious.  The Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office is investigating.

About 500 students attend the school, which was celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.
