There will be ceremonies, parades, dedications and more across the country today to honor the sacrifices of our nation's heroes.

In New York City, the Veterans Day Parade, has been renamed America's Parade by organizers. The New York Daily News reports that more than 20,000 people will participate in the parade up Fifth Avenue from 26th St. to 52nd St. The parade is set to kick off around 11:10am. America's first female four-star general, Ret. Gen. Ann Dunwoody will be the parade's grand marshal along with the honorary grand marshal, Chief of Staff Gen. Raymond Odierno.
