With Tuesday's primary just a day away, the latest mayoral poll has Bill de Blasio in first place among Democrats with a commanding lead. According to a poll released Sunday by Wall Street Journal-NBC-Marist, de Blasio had 36 percent of the votes while Christine Quinn and Bill Thompson both tied in second with 20 percent of the votes.

The Democratic primary could come down to the wire in figuring out if there will be a runoff three weeks later. If de Blasio can pass the 40 percent mark, he will win the primary outright. However, if de Blasio wins with less than 40 percent of the votes, then the battle for second place between Quinn and Thompson becomes crucial. Whoever comes in second place would then face de Blasio in the runoff.
