The LA Clippers have a buyer. Former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer will reportedly buy the team for $2 billion. If the sale goes through, this will be the largest amount paid for an NBA team ever.


The US is having its highest amount of measles cases in twenty years. We pretty much thought we’d gotten rid of it, but nope. Most of the cases come from people picking it up overseas.


The New York Rangers beat the Montreal Canadiens last night to advance to the Stanley Cup Finals for the first time in twenty years. They’ll take on either the Chicago Blackhawks or the LA Kings next Wednesday night. The Kings lead that series three game to two.


For the first time in over fifty years, the Scripps National Spelling Bee has ended in a tie. 14-year-old Sriram Hathwar and 13-year-old Ansun Sujoe both spelled so many words correctly, there weren’t enough words left on the official list to keep the boys going. The last time this happened was in 1962.


And being cynical could make you sick. A new study shows that people with high levels of cynical distrust are more likely to develop dementia, heart disease, and other health problems. The study’s author said, quote, “These results add to the evidence that people’s view on life and personality may have an impact on their health.”


And even lugging a suitcase on wheels can be a pain the ass. Now, a Chinese man has invented a suitcase scooter. He Liangcai has created a suitcase you can ride. It comes with a GPS navigator, a burglar alarm, and a horn. It can travel up to 12 mph, can carry two adults at once, and travel as far as 37 miles on one charge. It took about 10 years to complete. The most amazing part? He only has an elementary school education.
