This 'La La Land' Producer Knew He Lost Before Giving Oscar Speech

Last night's Academy Awards ended in an unprecedented fashion. After presenters Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway were given the incorrect envelope, La La Land was mistakenly announced as the Best Picture winner. Oscars producers rushed on to stage to inform the cast, crew, and producers of La La Land that the grave error had occurred. Many people watching the Oscars applauded Jordon Horowitz for how graciously he handled the situation.

If you take a closer look at the footage, though, it seems another producer did NOT handle the situation in the same classy manner. You can see the producers inform Horowitz and Berger that they were not the actual winners. When their peer finished his acceptance speech, Berger hopped on the mic and gave his own acceptance speech......even though he already knew he lost. He ended his speech on a very salty note. "We lost, by the way," Berger added nonchalantly, and then walked away from the mic leaving Horowitz to clean up the mess on his own.

It was a pretty awkward moment for everybody. Hopefully the cast and crew of Moonlight were still able to enjoy their victory.
