NYC Is Getting A New Target In Union Square

Target Corp. Reported A 4 percent increase in second-quarter profits

There is going to be a huge new Target store coming to Union Square. Although, it will still take a few years the lease has been signed.

The company has signed a lease for the space currently taken by the Food Emporium in Union Square East. According to the NY Post, Target signed the lease for 16 years at 10 Union Square East. Once it is open the store, at 32,579-square-feet will be Target's tweflth location in Manhattan. Its other stores are located in Washington Heights, Columbus Circle, and Hell’s Kitchen planned to open in 2020. There are also another four opening within Staten Island, Brooklyn and Queens. There is even a 33,000 square-foot Target coming to Times Square in 2022.

The Food Emporium currently at that location will stay open through April of 2023 with Target opening later that year.
