Medha Gandhi and Daneille Monaro rounded up four Instagram influencers backstage at Z100's Jingle Ball to get some insight into how they've succeeded on the platform.
Lauren Wolfe, Nasim Lahbichi, Deja Foxx and Lisa Ramey all rolled through The Mercedes-Benz Interview Lounge and shared their thoughts on posing, filters and more.
Asked about filters, Lisa answered first.
"I am the filter queen," Lisa said. "And it is important to take time to find your filter and to watch America's Next Top Model because Tyra Banks will teach you everything you need to know about smizing, exactly where to put that booty-tooch, and it helps the everyday person."
Lauren advocated for the Tezza app, Nasim recommended users look into what Creators come out with and Deja said that as a rule, she doesn't use filters at all.
"A lot of young women follow me and I think it's really important that they see me as I am," Deja said.
Lisa added that while she gets a lot out of filters, she says they should only be used for fun.
"Filters are not real," she said. "You should just use them for fun and it's not actually who you are."
