Gayle Talks 'ABCDEFU,' Her Goals For Next Tour With P!NK

Fresh off the Z100 All Access stage, Gayle reflected on the runaway success of "ABCDEFU" and how she's had to move beyond her biggest hit to build a career today.

"It's so wild, even last year at radio shows, obviously there's an intimidation when you have a [hit] song," Gayle explained. "Honestly, I really have no idea what I did for 'ABC' — like I couldn't recreate that scenario again ever in my life. I could never. That's something that I really appreciate and find really beautiful. But obviously it was an intimidating thing at 17, 'God, I had a song go No. 1 last year, will I ever do it again?' I'm in pop music, I'm in alternative music. Like, where's my space ... it was something that was really intimidating. And then to have such a beautiful year with P!NK and Taylor and the Barbie album and putting out music. ... It was a really stunning year for me."

"I thought last year was going to be the craziest year of my life, and then this year was really crazy."

And 2024 is shaping up to keep Gayle busy, as she'll again be touring with P!NK in the summertime.

To prepare, Gayle is setting more goals: like gaining the ability to do pullups.

"The tour starts in June, I have over six months to prepare myself," Gayle added. "On the record: every day I'm going to be doing a pullup — okay, every day I'm going to try and do a pullup."
