So the Internet has beeen blowing up about Nicki Minaj's acceptance speech for Best Female Hip Hop Artist at the BET Awards. While she never said Iggy's name, many people speculated that Nicki was throwing a little shade at Iggy when she said that she ALWAYS writes her own lyrics, meaning some others don't. She went on to say "no shade" but many people felt like it was a dig at Iggy and her current breakout success with "Fancy." I mean it does make sense that there is some competition, as Nicki has been the only female rapper with big hits for the last five years, and suddenly there's a new girl in town!
So after staying mum for a few days, Iggy Instagrammed this note. Seems like she was trying to take the high road. What do you think of her response (below)??
