Karlie and Josh have been together for six years. While not much is known about how or where the two met - Karlie and Josh are known for keeping their private life extremely private - Karlie has shared that the two met for the first time on June 8, 2012. Even though they've just announced their engagement publicly, they actually became engaged a few weeks ago during a romantic weekend together in upstate New York.
People also reported that this may not have come as a complete surprise to Karlie because she quietly converted to Judaism in early June. Karlie's future sister-in-law Ivanka Trump, who is married to Josh's older brother Jared Kushner, also took this step before her own engagement.
