Cheat Codes Dedicates "No Promises" to Demi Lovato At Atlantic City Show

In the wake of Demi Lovato's hospitalization following a drug overdose, the pop star was forced to cancel a headlining show in Atlantic City this week (7/26). But, EDM trio Cheat Codes had stepped in instead, and during the show shouted out their "No Promises" singer, and even dedicated the song to her.

Cheat Codes' Trevor Dahl intro'd "No Promises" by saying, "This next song goes out to a very, very, very special person. Someone that means very, very much to us. We love her. Her name is Demi Lovato. She cannot be here tonight."

Trevor added, "Addiction is something that is very hard for anybody to go through, and we just wanted to say, we love you, Demi. We appreciate you and we love you. This song goes out to Demi."

The next day, Cheat Codes tweeted a video of the moment, along with the message, "we <3 you @ddlovato."

Aside from Demi's presence being felt during the Cheat Codes show, her fans kept it going on an Atlantic City boardwalk during an organized meet up. The group of fans brought signs with messages of support for Lovato, and sang some of her songs including "Sober" and "Tell Me You Love Me."

Demi was hospitalized earlier this week for an overdose she suffered at her Hollywood Hills home, as the singer has had a relapse in her sobriety. After the scary news hit, many of her fans, friends and peers had tweeted their messages of support, including Cheat Codes. Trevor shared, "thinking about you @ddlovato."

Last year, Cheat Codes opened up to iHeartRadio about how their collaboration with Demi, "No Promises," came about. They explained:

"We played a show with Demi in Brazil at Z Festival, and it was super sick. The crowd was hyped, the fans were amazing, and that was the first we saw her, seeing her perform. We were like, 'Wow, she's so amazing live.' And I remember leaving Brazil, and our fans and her fans just kind of going crazy, and saying 'You guys should collab together, you guys should collab.' And the fact that it's actually happening however many months later is amazing. And it's a true testament to how crazy involved her fans are as well, because they really make stuff happen."
