On Tuesday (July 31), Forbes released its annual list of the world's highest paid DJs, and Calvin Harris is sitting pretty on top for the sixth year in a row.
The "One Kiss" producer raked in $48 million during the magazine's scoring period (June 1, 2017 through June 1, 2018), which is just about what he made last year. The 34-year-old's monetary success is, of course, attributed to his unstoppable hit-making ability, and for that, Forbes reports he pulls in healthy six-figure paychecks for his Las Vegas sets and is paid well into seven figures when he headlines international festivals. Needless to say, he performs a lot in Vegas and at festivals.
The Chainsmokers came in second, pulling in $45.5 million—$12 million more than they made last year. Tiesto, Steve Aoki and Marshmello make up the rest of the top five with $33 million, $28 million and $23 million earned, respectively. Everyone in the top 15 made at least $10 million. Alesso, Armin van Buuren, deadmau5, Hardwell and Skrillex just missed the mark, the latter because he chose to have a quiet year (he made $30 million last year).
