Dan + Shay stopped by the Z100 studio to talk about their single "Speechless" that they wrote about seeing their wives for the first time on their wedding day. How beautiful!
The pair discussed how fulfilling it was to write a song as personal as "Speechless." The best part is that they used footage from both of their wedding day videos in the "Speechless" music video. Now, more and more fans are using Dan + Shay songs as their own wedding songs. Dan says, "to have a moment in somebody's life" is one of the biggest perks of their job.
Later, Dan + Shay revealed that they would love to collaborate with Shawn Mendes in the future. "We're huge fans of Shawn. We've become buddies with him over the last few months. He put out one of the best albums ever. I mean it's SO good. He's so talented and also a big fan of country music as well. We had the opportunity to get in the room and write a song with him. So you never know what will happen, maybe we'll collaborate in the future!" We are rooting for a Dan + Shay + Shawn collab! Maybe 2019?
We are so proud of Dan + Shay, and can't wait for them to come back and visit the studio again.
