People walking in Times Square on Tuesday night were completely panicked when a motorcycle backfiring was mistaken for an active shooter. People literally started running for their lives. Thankfully, according to NYPD, there was no shooter and no injuries were reported. Given the recent tragic events that took place this weekend in El Paso and Daytona it's understandable why people are on high alert. So thankful it was a false alarm.
