The 2022 Grammy Awards are literally more than six months away but that's not stopping anyone from making early predictions as to who will take home some hardware. The eligibility period for the 2022 awards is September 1, 2020, through August 31, 2021. On top of a stellar year of music so far the rules for nomination have changed so its a totally different game.
Earlier this year the organization announced that they would disband the nominating committee that would narrow down the Top 20 determined by voters in each category to the final 8 nominees. Instead, voters will determine the final 8 that will be the nominees come show day.
With that in mind, Billboard is making some early calls for contenders in the major categories. What do you think?
