It's the most wonderful time of the year, and this year's Rockefeller Center tree is coming early!
Rockefeller Center just announced they have chosen their 2022 Christmas Tree only a day after Halloween. The tree is taller than last year's tree at 82 feet, and it weighs 14 tons! The tree will be cut on November 10th and is being donated by the Lebowitz family from Glen Falls, New York. The 85-90 year-old tree will arrive on Wednesday November 12th.
Once the tree is brought to the city, a team will work to string 50,000 LED lights on it. The tree lighting ceremony will be on November 30th from 7-10pm.
After the holidays, the city will have the tree milled into lumber for Habitat for Humanity.
