Ava Max dropped by the Mercedes-Benz Interview Lounge at Z100 JingleBall to talk about the meaning being her new song "Weapons," her favorite Christmas movie and the JingleBall artist with whom she'd most like to collaborate.
Ava tells Medha Gandhi and Danielle Monaro that she would love to keep it in the Atlantic Records family for a collab and get in the studio with Lizzo one of these days.
"I love Lizzo. She's my label-mate at Atlantic, too, I think she's great," Ava said.
Regarding "Weapons," Ava said she hopes her message is clear.
"I'm really excited about 'Weapons' because it's about just not spreading hate and being a good person. Sometimes words hurt more than physical [pain], and it stays in your mind forever ... So just be careful what you say, I think, that's really just the message of 'Weapons.'"
