Not many albums become hits without some promotion behind them, so when Demi Lovato decided to use a popular curse word in the title of her latest LP, it posed a significant problem.
They eventually figured out a work-around for Holy Fvck, which allowed all-ages publishers like this one to write about the record. But as Demi told Medha Gandhi and Danielle Monaro at the Mercedes-Benz Interview Lounge at Z100 JingleBall, she didn't really care at the time how the album got promoted.
"I was just like, 'You know what, I don't care. This is just what I want," Demi said. "While we were wrapping things up, we were like, 'Wait, how are we gonna promote this?' And I was like, 'I don't care! (laughs) Doesn't matter.'"
And she made it to JingleBall anyway. ✨
