Britney Spears Shows Love To Gay Olympians Gus Kenworthy & Adam Rippon

Gay Olympic athletes Gus Kenworthy and Adam Rippon have one of the biggest pop stars of the 21st century championing them in the South Korean games: Britney Spears

Over the weekend, the 2018 GLAAD Vanguard Award recipient took to Twitter to show love to Olympic freestyle skier Gus Kenworthy, who recently revealed to the Elite Daily that his "pump-up" music for the Olympics is none other than the pop titan's 2007 hit, "Gimme More." "So proud of #TeamUSA !! Hey @guskenworthy, gimme, gimme more on the slopes today!!" she tweeted, adding, "#ItsGusBitch."

As you probably expected, Gus' response to the message was filled with almost too much excitement. "Oh. My. God. Was really not prepared to wake up to this," he wrote. "Not sure how I’m gonna ski today because I’m LITERALLY dead now but I’m gonna go that extra mile for you, Britney! Ilysm!!!"

Spears also recently shared some love for figure skater Adam Rippon, who had made history as the first openly gay man to compete for the United States in the 2018 Winter Games. "Hey @Adaripp.... I just wanted let you know that I am a fan, I am not in denial, and that you are THE MOST FUN!!" she wrote on Friday (February 16). "Keep making us all smile at the #WinterOlympics and good luck today."

Beyond the Princess of Pop, Sally Field has also shared her admiration for Rippon and is hoping to hook her son Sam Greisman up with the figure skater. On Friday, the actress shared a screenshot of her conversation with Greisman in which they were talking about Team USA's Rippon. "Sam… he’s insanely pretty. Find a way," she told her son.
