Bea Miller stopped by the Z100 studios to talk about her new single "S.L.U.T" and why this song is so important to her. She revealed to Brady that originally she wanted to just call the track "slut," however, some powers at be were hesitant to release a song with that title. Bea was passionate about the song, though, and knew it had to be released. She switched up the spelling and sent it out into the world. We're so glad she did because the meaning behind it is so important.
"There is such a negative stigmatism around that word, so, when you say that word to people they're almost too scared to listen to it in the first place," she said. "That's actually the whole reason why I wrote the song in the first place. I don't feel like there should be such a negative stigmatism around that word."
She also opened up about her album, as well, saying each song is placed in the order it was written. Listening to the album straight through, she hopes, will feel like listening to a story. For more from Bea Miller, check out the full interview below:
