Convincing Conspiracy Theory: Carole Baskin's First Husband Was Jeff Lowe

Anyone who watched the Netflix true-crime docuseries Tiger King saw some absurd things go down. Sure the show culminated in zookeeper Joe Exotic being charged for arranging to have his long-time nemesis, Carole Baskin, killed, but that was just one of many odd occurrences. There was also Joe's three-way wedding to two men who worked for him, there was a tiger attack that left a staff member with one arm, and of course there were Joe's amazing music videos.

There was also that accusation that Carole, who owns Big Cat Rescue in Florida, killed her second husband, Don Lewis, and fed him to her tigers in 1997. Since Don disappeared mysteriously and his body was never found, there are many questions about what happened to him. In fact, out of everything on Tiger King, it's the accusation against Carole that has most people talking - so much so that police have again started looking into her husband's mysterious disappearance.

Now, there is a conspiracy theory about what happened to Don, as well as to Joe, that is so wild and crazy that it fits perfectly in the insanity of things that happen in Tiger King. The theory says that Joe's former business partner, Jeff Lowe, who got Joe's zoo from him and is rumored to have set him up in the murder-for-hire plot, is actually Carole's first husband, an abusive man named Michael Murdock.

That's not all - the theory says that Carole hired Michael/Jeff and his alleged henchman, Allan, to kill Don. She later paid them with the inheritance she got and then she used them again to frame Joe.

Sounds like a stretch, until you compare a few photos. People on Twitter are doing just that and have been left speechless.

Adding a little merit to the theory - the Hillsborough County Sheriff, Chad Chronister, who is in charge of the investigation, told TMZ that he is sure more than one person took part in the murder of Don Lewis, and that someone got paid to do it. And while Carole is not a suspect, he is suspicious of her as well as a few others. He's now hoping someone comes forward with a tip, and is even offering immunity.

Carole has long stated she had nothing to do with Don's disappearance.
