Prospect Heights is officially NYC's first-ever vinyl record craft beer bar. BierWax sounds like a perfect new spot to hang with friends!

Owner, Chris Maestro was inspired by a similar concept for a bar in Japan called jazu kissa (jazz cafes), according to Blackownedbklyn. Maestro knew that New York would benefit from this kind of place and so he started his very own spot in 2017, becoming the first vinyl record craft beer bar. The bar, located at 556 Vanderbilt Ave Brooklyn, has over 5,000 vinyls in house ranging in genre. The bar also offers a huge range of beers with a large portion of the tap-list being sourced from local breweries found in North Fork, LI or in upstate New York.

BierWax is also one of the only NYC bars to operate on solar energy, says Blackownedbklyn. There is also a second location opening up this fall in Ridgewood, Queens.
