Charlieonnafriday Talks Making Mom Proud, What He Learned From Macklemore

Charlie Onna Friday is feeling great about the direction of his career and the feedback from his live shows, but he admits he's a long way from pulling any Macklemore-esque stunts in concert.

Charlie brought up his fellow Seattleite during a conversation with Maxwell & Crystal at the Z100 JingleBall All Access Lounge presented by Splash. Charlie says he's seen Macklemore several times, and as impressive as Mack's walk across the audience stunt is, he'll leave that one to the pros for now.

"I mean, he's incredibly talented for being able to do that, I don't know..." Charlie said. "I was at his show in L.A. and the fans dropped him (laughs) so it's not 100 percent every time. But 99 percent of the time he knocks it out of the park."

Focusing on what Charlieonnafriday is doing, the singer/rapper says there is "a lot of music in the vault," ready for 2022.

But it's the holiday season, and nothing is making Charlie happier than seeing his mom so proud.

"She's the reason I'm here, got to give the world to her."
