Starbucks will be closing more than eight thousand company-owned stores in the afternoon on May 29th for “racial-bias education.”
Of course, this stems from the arrests of two black men at a Philadelphia store (video below). According to company officials, nearly 175 thousand Starbucks employees will learn about implicit bias, promoting conscious inclusion and preventing discrimination.
The training will also become a part of the Starbucks hiring process and will be available for other companies to use.

Meet Brandon Ward. He was @Starbucks - about to make a purchase - and needed to use the restroom.
They denied him the code.
He then finds a white man, Weston, who came out of the restroom.
He had not made a purchase but they gave HIM the code.
