Sabrina Carpenter Hopes Her Movie “The Hate U Give” Starts A Dialogue

Sabrina Carpenter stopped by the Z100 studios Wednesday, July 25th to talk about her upcoming album, new song Almost Love, (a favorite of mine already), and her upcoming movie, "The Hate U Give."

Almost Love is already a jam in my eyes, and did you guys see that music video?! Sabrina brings it all in that video, one of my favorites of hers for sure! Something I was really excited to talk about with Sabrina was her upcoming movie, "The Hate U Give." The movie is based on the novel (with the same title) by Angie Thomas. The story follows a young girl after she witnesses the police shooting her friend after getting pulled over. The novel is number one on The New York Times young adult best-seller list and won several awards.

"It's a story that has to be told," yes Sabrina about working on the project, "We hope that is starts a dialogue and conversation.." Well you definitely have our attention Sabrina. A story like this is so important right now and I can't wait to see you in the upcoming film coming out October 19th!

In the meantime though I'm going to blast Almost Love on the air okurr?! Catch ya soon!
