Burger King Starts Selling The Meatless Impossible Whopper

Burger King is now selling a meat-free version of its iconic Whopper burger made with a plant-based patty. The meatless Impossible Whopper is designed to look and taste just like the beef one and it’s being tested at 59 locations in the St. Louis area now, with plans to bring it to all 7,200 BK locations if it’s a hit.

The new Impossible Whopper is actually healthier for you than the meat version, it’s got 15% less fat and 90% less cholesterol than a standard Whopper. But despite those differences, Burger King chief marketing officer Fernando Machado claims customers and employees can’t tell the difference between the beef burger and the meat-free one, and time will reveal if he’s right.
