A California man has been eating at Chick-fil-A every day for 114 days in order to set the record for eating at the restaurant for the most consecutive days in a row. Mark Mendenhall, a San Diego realtor, has been at his local Chick-fil-A every day - except Sundays - for four months so he can beat the record held by a man in Georgia, who ate there for 100 consecutive days.
It’s unclear if there’s an actual record and the chain hasn’t confirmed if it keeps official records, but this guy has to be up there, if not at the top. He’s even doing some good for others while indulging in his fast food fantasy: he’s raised $1,000 for the Poway Unified School District Adopt-A-Family program.
And while Mendenhall is thrilled with his record, his wife isn’t as crazy about his chicken habit, especially after he disappeared from a family trip to Disneyland so he could head to Chick-fil-A for lunch. Now she’s planned a vacation to Palm Springs and he’s promised to give up his daily fix to go.
