Liam Payne On Partying with Ed Sheeran and Jingle Ball Collabs

Liam Payne is going to be hitting the road this December as part of our 2017 iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour and everybody is so excited to see him perform. It turns out that Liam is just as hyped for the big New York City stop at Madison Square Garden because he came out to Macy's in Herald Square this week to help us announce the rest of the line up. He'll be performing alongside Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Niall Horan, Camila Cabello and so many more amazing artists! Liam is looking forward to catching up with some of his friends, incuding Ed Sheeran, backstage at the show. He's so excited, in fact, that Liam reminisced about partying with Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift, and Harry Styles in an elevator one time.

"He is one of the nicest human beings around," Liam said of his good friend (and now Jingle Ball tour mate) Ed. "Everybody's either got a crazy party experience or just a really nice experience. I have both." He went on to tell "a really random story" about the time he got in an elevator with Ed, Taylor, and Harry during a party, where Ed kept turning around to Liam and only saying one word: bass. This is a pretty ironic story considering Ed later went on to cameo as the bass voice singing "strip that down, girl" repeatedly in Liam's breakout solo single 'Strip That Down.'

Liam also spoke about the reason he loves shows like Jingle Ball, which is that there's so many opportunities to meet other artists. It's almost like a huge networking event for all the artists involved because, according to Liam, a lot of beloved collaborations come out of performers meeting backstage. He revealed that if he could collaborate with anybody at the New York City stop on the 2017 iHeartRadio Jingle Ball tour it would be Logic. Now the questions is: how do we make this happen? We need a Liam Payne ft. Logic song to hit the airwaves in 2018. This if officially our New Year's resolution.

We definitely also wouldn't be opposed to Ed coming up during Liam's set for a live version of his cameo in 'Strip That Down.' Let's be honest, that would be the highlight of the night and we all know it. We can just picture it now. While they're at it, why not bring Niall and Taylor out, too, so we can witness the biggest artist collaboration of all time.

Thank you for helping us announce the epic Jingle Ball line up, Liam! We can't wait to see your dance moves on stage at Madison Square Garden on Dec. 15th
