Nicki Minaj is literally the most successful female rapper of our time, so it's nice to see that there isn't any intentional beef between her hip hop's newest female powerhouse, Cardi B. There have been rumors that the two have fueled, but Cardi put that to rest in an interview with Beats1 on Apple Music.
"If you ain't ******* my man or if you're not taking my money from me...then I don't really give a **** about you."
Cardi B was candid about her thoughts on internet created beef, saying that some people find it entertaining to watch two successful artists go after each other and that she has had many conversations with Nicki, sitting face to face just like anyone else would.
So what does this have to do with Cardi and Nicki's new music? Nicki actually planned to release music at the beginning of April. People from her label had agreed on the date and pushed her to release, but when Nicki learned that Cardi had planned to release music around the same time she decided to postpone her release date so she wouldn't overshadow her hip hop counterpart.
Invasion of Privacy dropped on April 6th and is expected to sell about 200,000 units in the first week and is expected to debut at #1 on the Billboard 200.
