It seems like everywhere you turn there's an article screaming about another pop artist breaking another record on the charts...but this one is SERIOUS. PAY ATTENTION.
Our girl Ariana Grande just broke another record with her new single 'No Tears Left to Cry.' It's the lead single off of her soon to be released fourth studio album and it debuted at #3 on the Billboard Hot 100, but that's just the start of it.
This is Ariana's fourth lead single to debut within the Top 10 of the Hot 100 -- that means that the first single off of all her albums so far have debuted in the Top 10...and she's the first artist to do that!
She. Just. Did. That.
Who held the record before her? Her! Her previous chart-toppers were "The Way," "Problem," and "Dangerous Woman." No other artist has achieved this feat in the 60-year history of the Billboard Hot 100 -- not even Elvis Presley, Janet Jackson, or Mariah Carey.
"No Tears" debuted at #2 in the UK, becoming the fastest selling single there in 2018, AND was Ariana's first #1 hit in Australia.
Plus, her video for the song was her number one debut on YouTube, grabbing 15 million views within 24 hours.
The bottom line is "No Tears Left To Cry" is a bop and we're welcoming Ariana back with open arms...keep it killin' it girl!
