MTV Suspends 'Catfish' After Sexual Misconduct Accusations

Nev Schulman, host of MTV's popular show Catfish has been accused of sexual misconduct. There is no information regarding the extent or nature of the accusations.

MTV has temporarily suspended production on the show to investigate the allegations.

“We take these allegations very seriously,” an MTV spokesperson told TheDaily Beast in a statement. “We’re working with Critical Content, our third party production company, to conduct a thorough investigation.”

Schulman also serves as the show's Executive Producer, having first aired in 2012 and now in it's seventh season of production. The show investigates fake online relationships and exposes those who impersonate others and lead people on through lies and deception.
