An engineering student named Philip Frenzel at Aalen University in Germany has come up with an invention to save your phone when you inevitably drop it.
Basically, the phone case contains a sensor that can detect when your phone is falling. Once it detects your phone in freefall, the case will deploy prongs from each corner that will prevent any part of the phone from hitting the ground.
The good part about this case is that once you pick up your phone, the prongs can be pushed right back inside and it turns into a normal phone case again!
The prongs are springy enough to absorb the shock when the phone hits the ground and not cause any damage otherwise.
Frenzel wants to start a crowdfunding campaign to fund the production of his invention.
