Starting this Fall, public schools in New York City will be going meat-free on Mondays.
Mayor Bill de Blasio recently announced 'Meatless Mondays', where schools will be offering exclusively vegetarian options for breakfast and lunch. But if you really want to have meat on Mondays, you will still be welcome to pack your own lunch. He said that cutting down on meat will "improve New Yorkers' health and reduce greenhouse gas emissions". The 'Meatless Mondays' will be going into effect during the 2019/20 school year.
How do you feel about having 'Meatless Mondays' in NYC public schools? Could it possibly spread to other states public schools?
