NYC Couple Married In The Middle Of The Blackout

Okay so picture this... it's your big day, you're about to tie the knot with your significant other and then... the power goes out! That's nightmare stuff! Well, that happened to one couple getting married at the Plaza Hotel during this Saturday's massive Manhattan power outage.

Amy Rosenthal had just walked down the aisle to her husband Craig and as soon as they clasped hands, the power went out! But instead of freaking out, everyone in attendance pulled out their phone flashlights and the ceremony continued. How special is that?!?! Even the band helped and played music that was easy for everyone to sing to since they now had no microphones.

The ballroom for the reception was lit entirely by candlelight and was such a magical scene. The wedding will definitely go down in New York folklore as another reason why New York is so great.

Congrats to the happy couple!
