This past Friday was Friday the 13th, and things were spooky, to say the least. But it makes sense why it was so spooky: Scooby-Doo turned 50 years old. That's right, everyone's favorite mystery-solving gang growing up has blessed Cartoon Network and Boomerang mornings with fun, mystery, and a bunch of thrill. That also makes Scooby somewhere around 200 years old (in dog years). Stewie and Maggie have got nothing on him! And only those real 90s kids remeber *insert sunglasses emoji*.
"Scooby-Doom Where are You?" debuted on CBS on September 13th, 1969, and the world wouldn't be the same without the Mystery Machine and those 'meddling kids.' In the time that the show has been on air, there have been a bunch of reboots, spinoffs, and even the live-action movies from a few years ago. Can't forget about those! The show is actually number 2 in most popular animated franchises right behind Batman. And who's surprised? Who doesn't love a talking dog! I don't think I can go a WEEK without hearing a Scooby or Shaggy impression! Can I get a ZOINKS, Scoobs??
