That last chemotherapy session. Many people say it feels like crossing through that finish line and feeling like you've won the lottery. Now imagine finishing your last chemotherapy session and actually winning the lottery???
A North Carolina man was headed back from his last chemotherapy session for colon cancer when he decided to stop into a convenience store and buy a lottery ticket. Ronnie Foster was feeling lucky, so he bought a $1 "Win It All" scratch off where he won $5. He won big time!
Could you imagine that was it? That was the big lottery prize? SIKE! It doesn't end there. Foster decided to use his winnings to buy ANOTHER lottery ticket, this time a $5 ticket and another $5 ticket, you know, since he was feeling lucky.
The first ticket was a bust, but that second ticket...a WINNER. $200,000!!!!
“When it showed, ‘Go to lottery headquarters,’ I started shaking. I couldn’t believe it," Foster said. “I saw all those zeroes and I froze. I didn’t believe it until I gave it to the clerk at the counter to scan."
After it was all said and done, he cashed out about $140k, which he says will help out with the medical bills and make life "a whole lot easier." This feel good story got me right...right in the feels. I'm not crying, you are. We're proud, Ronnie! Speedy Recovery!
