Sarah Jessica Parker Reveals Shocking 'Sex And The City' Theory

While on the road promoting her new HBO series, "Divorce," Sarah Jessica Parker revealed a rather shocking theory about "Sex And The City."

While sitting with Chris Hardwick on his Nerdist podcast, she revealed her uncertainty of her squad in NYC, saying they may not even be real....

“I used to wonder if Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda were real,” explained Parker. â€œThey’re such perfectly archetypal characters. So you’re writing a column about sexual politics and observations of female/male, primarily, heterosexual relationships, so you’re picking one type. You’re saying ‘this type is this and this,’ and then you complicate it more, like any good writer does. So I’m not entirely sure they are real,” she concluded.

Parker seems to think that each week’s episode was based off of Carrie's writing and not real life itself.   “What we are seeing isn’t necessarily what happened in New York City.”

Well that definitely changes some things....
