Ice Cube and Charlie Day are going to square up in front of a high school audience in New Line's latest comedy movie Fist Fight.
The script, written by Van Robichaux and Evan Susser, follows two polar opposite high school teachers -- an angry history instructor named Strickland (Cube) and a mild-mannered instructor named Andy Campbell (Day) -- who are trying to get through the last day of school without losing their jobs. To add to the stress, an annual "Senior Prank Day" brings mayhem to campus, triggering Strickland to go postal and take his anger out on Andy.
"It's the last day of school, Senior Prank Day, and they just got us going crazy!" Cube told On Air with Ryan Seacrest via FaceTime on Friday. "I play a teacher by the name of Strickland who is a disciplinarian, old school, do it my way or the highway teacher. Then you got Charlie Day who's playing this enabler, I'll be your best friend type of teacher, and we just don't mix."
The Richie Keen-directed Fist Fight also starring Tracy Morgan, is in theaters now.
