The CW's Riverdale is one of the breakout shows of the season. The Archie comics inspired series is on it's way to being the next big teen drama everybody is talking about a la Gossip Girl and One Tree Hill. So it comes as no surprise that the shows stars are blowing up on social media right now. They're all young and beautiful, because that's the only kind of person that exists on The CW. One the show's stars, though, is finding a different kind of notoriety on Twitter than her co-stars.
Camila Mendes plays Veronica on Riverdale, but it's not her awesome performance that's drawing people to her social media accounts. You might have noticed that her name is the perfect combination of two other young celebrities: Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes. Some mega fans of the two singers are following Camila Mendes because they think she's shipper account for Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes. Awkward.
It got so crazy for her that she had to send out a tweet clarifying that she wasn't a shipper account, writing that she's "Just a Camila Mendes, standing in front of the Twitterverse, asking it to stop thinking she's a fan account for Camila Cabello & Shawn Mendes."
