'13 Reasons Why' actress Katherine Langford, who plays Hannah the character in the show that commits suicide, went on the Jimmy Fallon show to talk the success of the show.
Things got serious when Jimmy Fallon brought up the current controversy with the show, saying people thought it 'glorified suicide.' Katherine responded saying, "I mean of course there's controversy, I think things like these instigate discussion which is the important part." She continues saying, "We cover so many important issues in the show, that it affects people differently depending on their own personal context, and I'm like, everyone's feelings are valid..... personally, being directly involved with the show and seeing the thought and consideration that went into it.... I feel very proud in the way we covered it."
Katherine also wanted to let everyone know that in her Instagram bio she keeps a link from '13 Reasons Why' that has crisis information. She thinks it is important that her followers know where to go if they do feel triggered.
