Tank Sinatra Takes On 'The Floor Is Lava' Meme

Last summer we saw droves of otherwise normal adults attempting to relive their childhood in search of the rarest Pokémon. Well, that fad came and went, but if there’s one thing for sure, it’s that we are always eager for an excuse to act like children.  Folks, grab a cold La Croix, it’s sure to be the hottest summer on record.  Everywhere you look, THE FLOOR IS LAVA!

Remember leaping from the couch to the ottoman, avoiding the dangerous pretend “lava” floor while your parents weren’t home?  Well get ready to do it again, because the #lavachallenge is officially the hottest craze online.  It’s simple.  You run up on your friend, yell “the floor is lava!” and hilarity ensues.  Post the resulting video online, and join the fun.  Everywhere you look you see full blown adults diving into dumpsters, jumping on innocent strangers shoulders, and even jumping over partitions falling to concrete stairs below, to avoid getting their feet burned by imaginary magma. Unbelievable.

This is a true meme trend, in the sense that it spurred copy cat meme macros with different (way funnier and more creative) captions. Take a look below at some HOT links and see what happens when a new meme trend erupts.

As far as I can tell, the craze was reignited by these two
