New York City Will Go Dark This Week So You Can See The Stars

The only way to experience a New York City starry night is if the city had a total blackout for several days...

So what is NYC going to do? International Dark Sky Week 2018 runs from Sunday, April 15th to Saturday April 21st. This week, residents of the city are encouraged to turn off their lights to help the sky turn it's natural glow. This week is meant to show us the benefits and importance of light energy conservation. It may not seem like a big deal but saving light in the city will not only help you get a better sleep, but it will also help conserve energy and light pollution!
