July 4th: Where Should I Go?

If the past has taught us something it's always to go into summer holidays with a plan. The last thing you need on a hot day in NYC is to be lost in a sea of no plans, no pool, no beach or no drinks. Well from the Hamptons to the rooftops, we have a list of the July 4th plans you didn't know you needed. Here's a complete list from my past experience and things I have found in my research of the best places to go to on the Fourth of July!

1. Cupsogue Beach 906 Dune Rd, Westhampton Beach

Before you just show up at any beach in the Hamptons you have to make sure it's the right one. Cupsogue Beach is located in West Hampton and is probably the most down to earth Long Island beach spot you could hit on Fourth of July. They have live music, decent beach food and the lifeguards are SO CUTE! The parking lot does get full though so make sure you head to the beach early enough!

2. Fire Island

Fire Island has everything from beach to bars and a town filled with people ready to party. If you've never been before maybe going for the Fourth isn't the best as it would be pretty overwhelming for a newbie. If you do check it out make sure you know the Ferry schedule before and when you're trying to return.

3. Far Rockaway Beach

If you live in the city and aren't looking to getaway too much, Far Rockaway beach may be the spot for you. Just take the A train up to Beach 67th St, Beach 90th St and so on. You can also utilize NYC’s ferry system. When you get there you will be greeted by bars, food and oh right sand for miles. There are also plenty of affordable food trucks if you're looking to do things a little cheaper. It is definitely a NYC staycation spot that's worth the subway trip!

4. Rooftop at The Crown Lower East Side

With a guaranteed good view of the Macy's fireworks on the East River, you should definitely make a reservation at this rooftop on the Lower East Side! They have general admission tickets that cover an hour of vodka and one cocktail!

5. Fiesta at Tacocina, Williamsburg

There's a brand-new eating spot along the Williamsburg waterfront and it's definitely going to be a hotspot this Wednesday. You'll even be able to see the fireworks from here which gives this place major brownie points this July 4th! For your money you will be able to get six kinds of tacos, endless chips and guacamole, cheese chicharrones & more! The event is 21 and older only from 6-10pm.
