The Best Hot Dogs In NYC

Nothing says July 4th more than a bbq. Hamburgers, hot dogs, grilled chicken... it all sounds so delicious! How can you celebrate summer and hot dogs in NYC if you don't know the best places to go?! Here's a list of some spots you'll have to try this summer for a great hot dog in NYC. And no, none of them are Sabrett's, although when your desperate, it really doesn't taste that bad.

1. Kat'z

If you've ever seen When Harry Met Sally - this is the famous NYC deli that brings you the infamous line "I'll have what she's having." They even have a sign up pointing to the table where Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal sat and ate. The hot dogs aren't bad either. With a great blend of spices it will have your mouth watering. Also, you have to try the potato knish as an appetizer, it is SO GOOD!

2. Rudy's Bar & Grill

Nothing tastes more delicious than when it is free.. Rudy's may look like just a dive bar, but they have the most delicious free hot dogs in the game.

3. Boy's Don't Cry

So now it's time to take on a whole new version of the hot dog bun. At Boy's Don't Cry, your hot dog is rolled into a soft scallion pancake. Inside the wrap is a hot dog and some crunchy fried onion. The hot dog is called "the Chuck" after one of the restaurant's regulars and friend of the chef who came up with the idea when the kitchen ran out of hot dog buns one night!

4. PDT (please don't tell)

This East Village speakeasy lets you binge on junk food while sipping on delicate cocktails. There are several dogs to choose from including a bacon-wrapped "Chang Dog."

5. Hard Times Sundaes

These all-beef deep-fried "Brooklyn style" hot dogs are unreal. For an extra $2 you can get them wrapped up in strips of bacon with chili and American cheese. Say goodbye to that summer bod you've worked so hard for!
