Nick and Joe Jonas Tweet Support For Demi Lovato After Her Overdose

Demi Lovato's close friends, Nick and Joe Jonas, showed support for the 25-year-old singer following her suspected overdose on Tuesday (July 25). The brothers took to Twitter to connect with their fans - many of whom they share with Demi - to encourage everybody to pray for their friend.

"Like all of you I am reeling at the news about Demi. All of us love her and need to pray for her to get well. She is a fighter," Nick wrote.

Nick's older brother, Joe, shared a similar message on Twitter. "Like all of you, I am thinking of [Demi] right now. She needs our prayers and support. We all know how strong you are Demi."

The eldest Jonas, Kevin, shared a message of support, as well. "Sending my prayers and thoughts to [Demi] and her family right now."

Demi has a long history with Nick, Joe, and Kevin Jonas. They met on the set of their Disney Channel Original Movie Camp Rock back in 2008 when Nick and Demi were just 15-years-old. The group became super close during filming and the already established and successful Jonas Brothers helped Demi write and record her first studio album, Don't Forget, which launched her singing career.

Demi toured and collaborated with the Jonas Brothers pretty consistently for the next few years. Her friendship with Nick, Joe, and Kevin experienced some turbulence in 2010 when she exited their world tour after punching one of her backup dancers. She entered rehab for bulimia and drug abuse for the first time shortly after that.

Despite the friction between them, Demi was able to patch things up with her longtime friends. She's grown closest to Nick over the years and the two have continued to collaborate. They recently went on tour together again on their co-headlining "Future Now." They've also featured on each other's songs, as well as fueled suspicion that one of Demi's saucier songs from her latest album was actually inspired by Nick.

Demi and Nick, Joe, and Kevin have often referred to each other as "family" over the years. It must mean so much to Demi to have them showing her solidarity during this difficult time.

Demi's reps released a statement that reads "Demi is awake and with her family who want to express thanks to everyone for the love, prayers and support.  Some of the information being reported is incorrect and they respectfully ask for privacy and not speculation as her health and recovery is the most important thing right now."
