Wild Video Shows Texas Inmate Climb On Top Of Moving Patrol Car

A Texas inmate almost managed to escape while he was being transferred to prison. 31-year-old Martin Gregory Estrada was being driven to Taylor County Jail when he managed to get free of his handcuffs.

Estrada was able to shatter the back window of the police car and climbed out onto the roof of the moving vehicle. Jason and Jennifer Mustain, who recorded the crazy scene as it unfolded, told KTSX they could see Estrada's feet hanging out the window and called 911.

"At first, he was laying across the top of the roof like you see in the movies," Jason said. "Then he tried to stand up and eventually sat there chillin'."

The deputy continued to drive and called for backup. Once more officers arrived, he stopped the car and Estrada was taken into custody. He is being held on $680,000 bail and faces multiple charges including five counts of evading arrest and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
