There has been a lot of celebrity engagement news lately ... Ariana Grande & Pete Davidson, Justin Bieber & Hailey Baldwin, Nick Jonas & Priyanka Chopra — could Britney Spears and Sam Asghari be next?! Maybe!
A source tells Us Weekly that Sam could pop the question within the next year. They say, "Sam will be with Britney for [her] entire tour and they are more in love than ever. Even though Sam is younger than Britney, he is extremely mature for his age. Don't be surprised if they get engaged in the next year."
Britney and Sam first met in October 2016 while filming her music video for "Slumber Party," and began dating shortly after. Since then, the pop star has been gracing our Instagram feeds with pictures and videos of the pair working out together, romantic vacations, romantic dinners, and has even referred to Asghari as her "other half."
Sam recently opened up about his relationship with Britney during an interview with Men's Health, calling Spears his "family." He explained, "She motivates me more than anyone. It's crazy how I can be humbled by a person like her. If I could be that humble when I'm that high in life, that would be the best thing. I grew up with three sisters and my personality is just to be a supportive person for my family and she's family. I’m always going to support her. She is another blessing that happened to me."
If Britney and Sam did get engaged, it would be her third marriage (third time's the charm?). Spears was previously married in 2004 to Jason Alexander for 55 hours, and then tied the knot with Kevin Federline. Britney and Kevin were married for three years before splitting up in 2007. The two share two sons, 12-year-old Sean Preston and 11-year-old Jayden James.
