Orlando Bloom Confronts Woman Using iPad During 'Killer Joe' Performance

Well, this is awkward. Orlando Bloom broke character during a performance of his West End play, Killer Joe, after confronting a crowd member for using electronics during the production.

According to The Telegraph, the 41-year-old reportedly ordered a woman to put away her iPad during Thursday night’s (July 26) presentation. "I need you to put iPad away now!" Bloom allegedly yelled at the theatre-goer, in character, according to theatre critic Mark Shenton

Forced to repeat himself again, the actor shouted, "Put that f***ing iPad away now and I will wait." Per the pub, the venue was quite toasty, causing the woman, who was supposedly sitting close enough to the front row, to use the device as a fan, sparking the British thespian's outrage.

Another attendee at the spectacle corroborated the humidity of the amphitheater on Twitter, along with an image of the unidentified woman using the fan: "I was sat behind and although it would have looked bad, in her defense she was only using it for her fan as the auditorium was roasting!" The Kingdom of Heaven star's rep has yet to provide a comment about the incident, whether Bloom did, in fact, use expletives in his rant, and if the attendee was dealt with by theatre staff.

Shortly after, Killer Joe producers released the following statement: "There was an incident at yesterday's matinee of Killer Joe that was dealt with swiftly and efficiently by the Front of House team."
